Tweets I keep thinking about constantly.

On the explore-exploit specrum I'm quite far on the "explore" side. I keep switching jobs, switching interests, reading/watching "about" stuff without actually doing it. I think it was one of the things that led to most of the good things in my life. But this tweet is my reminder that you can't explore endlessly.

It's a classic. I rarely ask myself this question. For example, right now I should be working, not having fun with my new toy - the wiki. But this idea is just so simple yet so powerful. It's a distillation of vague thoughts I've been having for a long time - that the main thing driving you towards doing things you're supposed to be doing is just awareness. I used to have timers on my phone which would remind me to think about what I'm doing. I used to have schedules and plans, as tools to be more aware of my actions. I listen to Cortex, the podcast, where the hosts regularly talk about time tracking. The statistics are fun, but the main reason they do it is just awareness if I understand them correctly.

This tweet rarely helps me be more aware. But its phrasing is what makes the thought stay in my mind instead of melting and disappearing like all my previous awareness projects.
