Just a diary for today.

I planned to keep the evening for writing, but there was stuff, and then I was watching youtube, and you know how it is.

The D&D campaign resumed. I'm playing a D&D campaign on Thursdays. At this point it feels like I'm there just because I got used to it. It's paid, but it's also a kind of unique and nice kind of fun, and it lets me talk to people, which is good.

I learned recently that D&D isn't that popular in Japan, and they have their own sword and sorcery TTRPG. But the most popular isn't even that, it's Cthulhu. Call of Cthulhu, I think. But at this point it's not even about Lovecraft, it's just a few detectives doing random things.

I'm using Hello Talk again. It's become better, and I want to use it more. I finally put the next level of Japanese there for myself, so people know I'm not a beginner when they explain stuff to me. I still haven't used the voice rooms much though, and I think they should be good.

Maybe I should try VR Chat, too.

The Japan trip is getting closer, and I keep thinking about how I want to find friends there. I want to become a normie. I guess I could start by doing more friendly things here, and I'm doing them. Even tomorrow.

I should do more reviews. This is a completely new topic, but this is a stream of consciousness diary, so it's okay. I'm reading Katalepsis, the web novel, and I keep hitting the parts I have to slog through. Not that they're bad, they're just not the thing I'm there for, I guess. So I tried switching to other stories - and yeah, I can tell the difference. Even between Katalepsis chapters, but especially when the feel of the book matches my own - how it reads so much easier than when it doesn't.

I don't want to mention certain things here on the website, but I want to talk about them. I guess that's what friends are for.

I've heard about bots trying to break every website, doing requests. AI bots scraping text. And so on. I should maybe set up better logs for this website so I can see them. Though the logs are already there, I should just look at them.
