I saw this game because I saw a tweet by Grimes saying that Elon Musk is really good at it.

It's a good game! I played only a couple rounds with bots, but I can kind of see why it became so competitive. It has just enough complexity to have strategy, finding a great balance between "too complex to iterate, too lost in options" (Civ) and "too simple to have any interesting and complex strategies" (Antiyoy).
